Shaikh Assim Al-Hakeem is one of the prominent propagators of Islam in English in Saudi Arabia. He is a Saudi national, born on 23rd November,1962 and residing in Jeddah - K.S.A.
Accredited with a BA in Linguistics from King Abdul Aziz University Jeddah in 1987, Shaikh Assim Al-Hakeem went onto graduate with a High Diploma in Islamic Studies from the prestigious Umm al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia in 1998. The Shaikh has also studied for several years the books of the great scholar Shaikh Saalih Ibn Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him).
Apart from his Da'wah activities, Shaikh Assim started his Work Experience in1988 by working as an English teacher in High school, and then changed his career and took different positions in the field of Human Resources & Public Relations. At present Shaikh Assim is an Imam of a Masjid in Jeddah, a role which he has held for the past 20 years, where the Shaikh delivers the weekly Friday sermons and lectures on various Islamic Sciences.
Shaikh Assim Al-Hakeem also participates regularly on Preparing and hosting a number of English Islamic programmes such as Questions and Answers (ASK HUDA), Umdatul Ahkaam, Youth Talk, Mercy to the Worlds, among others on various TV and Radio channels such as Al Huda, Peace TV, Iqra (in Arabic) and the Saudi 2 channel.
Shaikh Assim travels often to Europe, Asia & Middle East for delivering Islamic lectures on invitation of local and international organizations, most of which can be found on the YouTube
